Why is my transfer foil coming off patchy?

Patchy transfers usually happen for two reasons: either the adhesive layer isn't sticky enough, or the foil wasn't pressed down firmly in the crevices of the nail. We highly recommend using a dedicated Foil Transfer Gel (cured exactly to the manufacturer's instructions) and a silicone tool to firmly smooth the foil over the entire nail before peeling off the backing.
Which side of the transfer foil goes down on the nail?

The brightly coloured or patterned side should always face up toward you, while the dull, matte, or silver-looking backing side should be pressed down onto the nail's sticky layer.
Can I use foils over regular nail polish?

Transfer foils require a very specific, strong sticky layer to adhere properly. While there are air-dry foil glues available, the best and most durable results are achieved using a UV/LED curable Foil Transfer Gel over a gel polish enhancement.
