- Use a Cat Eye magnet before curing to position the reflection.
- Cure for 60 seconds.
Yoshi states that no additional top coat is required after this method because the powder is already mixed into No Wipe Top.
How to Create the Metallic Holo Effect
For a completely different look, use the powder as a rub-in effect.
Apply and cure your chosen colour, then rub the powder into its sticky dispersion layer until the surface becomes smooth and metallic.
Finish with top coat and cure for 60 seconds.
Do not rub the powder directly into base coat, as Yoshi advises that the stronger sticky layer can make it harder to achieve an even metallic surface.
Create Different Magnetic Reflections
The Cat Eye technique lets you control where the light appears on the nail.
Move and angle the magnet before curing to create different lines, glows and magnetic patterns.
The effect continues to change visually as the hand moves, while the Holo technique gives a flatter metallic surface with shifting holographic reflections.
