Application tips

• Wash and sanitise both your hands and your client’s hands. Wear gloves. Assess the condition of the hands and nails to ensure there are no contraindications.
• Gently push back the cuticles with a cuticle pusher or an orange stick, then refine them using e-file bits (e.g. 9, 1).
• Use a 100/180 grit buffer to gently buff the nail surface.
• Remove dust with a soft brush.
• Degrease the nail plate thoroughly using a lint-free wipe soaked in Cleaner No. 1.
• Apply a suitable primer (Acid-Free Primer or Acid Primer).
• Apply a thin layer of your chosen base coat, then cure for 30 seconds in a MultiLED lamp.
• Apply a second, thicker layer of base coat to smooth or build up the nail structure if needed. You can refine the surface using a fine brush (e.g. Master Nail Art 007) or use gravity by flipping the hand to shape the apex. Cure again—extend curing time to 60 seconds if using a thicker layer.
• Apply the first layer of colour, avoiding pressure with the brush, and cure for 30 seconds in a MultiLED lamp.
• Apply the second layer of colour, refining the cuticle and sidewall area with a detail brush (e.g. Master Nail Art 004 or 006). Cure for 30 seconds.
• Seal with a top coat such as Tip Top or Wet Look, then cure for 30–60 seconds.
• Allow the top coat to cool for about 60 seconds.
• If using a tacky top coat, remove the inhibition layer with a lint-free wipe soaked in Shea Super Shine Effect Cleaner.
• For an ultra-glossy finish, polish the nails with a dry wipe.
• If using a non-wipe top coat, there is no need to cleanse. Once the top coat has cooled for one minute, apply your chosen Shea Elixir with Keratin around the cuticles for extra nourishment.
